Even sandboxes and VM methods have limitations.

But I also agree they are far more superior for protection than
antivirus programs.

I agree with the Nomen guy that it's much less likely for hackers to
go after single users with such knowledge as to how to defeat such
protection. Pro hackers are a different breed with different methods
and goals.

Now, more so than before the bitcoin industry house of cards crumbled.
if they could hack a lot of single user systems cpu cycles for mining
bitcoins then it made sense to have single users if the cost to them was
trivial.
