Hi all,

We have a LAN with Windows pc's (all W10 Pro).
I recently got a Apple MacBook. It's connected to the LAN as well. In
the finder on the MacBook I can see all other Windows pc's, but cannot
connect to them. Is there perhaps something I should add or change in
the Windows settings to make the Macbook connect to a pc?

can other windows pcs connect to each other?

you should be able to connect by double-clicking the pc in the sidebar.

another way is in finder, under the go menu, choose connect to
server... (or type command-k). click browse, or manually enter
smb://ip.address.of.pc/share. optionally save it as a favourite.

But I'm afraid it won't help.
First of all I don't want to share files on the MacBook.
Concidering Windows, there are already shares. But not to Everyone, but
to the users name. I'm not opening the shares to everyone.
Anyway, the shares are there but I can't access the pc from the MacBook.

The problem has been solved. I found out that when I click on the
MacBook on "Connect", it won't work. But when I click on "Connect as", I
can enter my credentials and am able to see the shares on the pc's.

Learned another thing from Apple.
