Does it make your 2.5 mm phone jack look like a
blue tooth smart phone?

What part number did you purchase?

If I understand your question correctly, you are looking for what's
called a 'Bluetooth transmitter'.

They often do have several inputs, so the "2.5 mm" part mostly doesn't
matter, but there are indeed some which have an integrated plug, so in
that case the "2.5 mm" part does matter.

I have one - a transmitter/receiver with muliple inputs/outputs -, but
as I'm in The Netherlands, that's of little use to you.

So just do a search on 'Bluetooth transmitter' and see what that turns
up. (And spell 'Bluetooth' correctly! :-))

I searched the internet for "2.5 mm adapter bluetooth adapter"

I got a lot of hits. The best was one for about $12 from Walmart

If you do not have a USB port on your phone, you may wish to look for a
short cable that will plug into the phone and have a standard USB
fitting on the other end. I got one for my table, so I could use a
mouse with it. I also allows me to use my Card reader with a USB
connector on my tablet.

Oops! Looks like you wanted a 2.5 mm Bluetooth adapter
rather than 2.5 to 3.5mm. Amazon has that via a Google search.

The big issue is that Jabra told me their 85H
will only work with a smart phone (does not
explain why it works with my flip phone). So
that is the big hurdle.

full functionality requires a smartphone and the jabra app.

without that, it will have only basic functionality.

I don't recall if there were any info about warnings of headphones
on my old LG Choclate flip phone but I do remember that I had to
get a 2.5->3.5 adapter for the headphone for listening when doing
my exercise walk/stroll.

Nowadays, people refer smartphones also as cell phones; some
people even equate/refer smartphones as iphones.

The only problem is that apple have put chips in their cables to
"insure" that it is a "legitimate" cable for ijunk; most probably
now beginning to goback to the days all apple stuff will include
chips in order to work with ijunk to exclude 3rd party products.

that is false, especially for industry standard connectors.

lightning cables and accessories are been tested with all past, present
and future devices to both work properly and not cause damage.

non-certified cables will probably work, but you take your chances.

look no further than usb-c cables for some of the issues that can occur.

Benson Leung, the Google engineer who moonlights as a tester of
dodgy USB Type-C cables, has sadly performed his last act of tech
vigilantism‹at least for now. When testing a Surjtech 3M USB A-to-C
cable, the cable was so bad that it fried his Chromebook Pixel laptop
and two USB PD (power delivery) analysers.
