I've got a host file that (after reloading) when I started to put it back realized it had not been updated since 2021.
So I browsed and found SourceForge had one that is maintained and was update lately in May 2023.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/hosts.mirror/

So I'm wondering? Who uses a good hosts file from where?

And one other question, does a long list like this slow down the internet traffic any? I mean there's a long laundry
list of things to trap here?

I added it to my system yesterday and so far have had no issues. I even use google to search. Actually, don't know if
that's good or bad, I mean does it filter or not?!! I guess if you have an issue just test it. A host file is so easy
to insert and so easy to remove. So benign.
