I find it interesting that all you ignorant apologists only play games on
iOS so you think basic organization is a game to be played "all day long."

*The fact remains it's _impossible_ to organize iOS the way you would want.*

Try organizing (& even migrating) this kind of basic organization on iOS.
<https://postimg.cc/delete/zM5BgmLG/c1e0ba57>

The best you can do on iOS (with great effort) is something like this crap.
<https://i.postimg.cc/LXzB3Lc0/appleid01.jpg>

*Apple crippled what the app launcher can do for you; Google can't.*

In fact, the stone-age-archaic iOS homescreen is so horridly crippled it
can't even do something as simple as remove the dock if you don't want it.

Meanwhile on Android you can make the homescreen and dock do anything you
want it to do... which is basic functionality _impossible_ to do on iOS.

The fact remains the Apple hardware is about the same as Android hardware.
What's different only is Apple _cripples_ what the software apps can do.

Hence Apple devices will always pale in functionality to Android devices.

For example, basic human privacy like this is _impossible_ on your iPhone.

The ignorant apologists will claim they don't need an Apple account but they
ignore that the apps used only work for a day or two when they try it out.

Ooooops. I accidentally posted the photo deletion URL (not the posting URL).
Mea culpa. My apologies.

Here's the correct URL which proves (for the umpteenth time) that iOS can't
do even the simplest of the most basic of the most common things needed in
order to organize your homescreen as you wish (any icon anywhere, any name).
<https://i.postimg.cc/MGJSmg3X/migration01.jpg>

Notice that it's not Apple hardware that is stuck in the archaic stone age.
*It's Apple who crippled the launcher to be stuck in the archaic stone age.*

The Apple app launcher can't even do the simplest of the most basic things.
a. It can't have an app icon in multiple places (named any way you like)
b. It can't put the app icon or folder anywhere on the screen you want
c. It can't modify how the dock works (it can't even delete an empty dock!)

I wonder if Apple keeps the app launcher (which was unique in its day) stuck
in the archaic stone age because Apple feels to give the customer any choice
whatsoever would make the customer overwhelmed with functionality???

*The fact remains that iOS is crippled by lack of basic functionality.*

For example, I migrated to a new phone today and "it all just worked"

Perhaps the ignorant apologists are clueless what functionality exists
outside of the Apple product line because they never used Android ever?

rubbish. ios devices include all sorts of hardware not available on
android (or very poor implementations if they do at all), including a*
processors, face id, lidar, uwb and much more. apple was also first
with retina displays, 64 bit processors, bluetooth le, esims and many
other things that android had to copy to compete, and that's just
hardware. the software side of things goes much further, including
cinematic mode, focus, homekit, universal control, and many others.

it's not too late for you to take a big dose of stfu and try to learn
something for a change, despite the latter being for all intents, not
possible. unfortunately, you won't do either one.

manually exporting? missing icons??

you have a very different definition of 'it all just worked' than the
rest of the world.

it clearly did *not* work. it literally failed to complete.

meanwhile, migration on both macs and ios devices is trivial.

for ios, just place the two phones near each other and follow the
prompts to link the two, at which point, the migration begins. the
entire process is automatic, something not possible on android.

for macs, they both need to be connected via a cable, ideally
thunderbolt (previously firewire) although ethernet will work but
that's not as efficient. wifi is another option but very much not
ideal.

What ceases to be shocking is that every time nospam claims a functionality
for iOS we find out not only that Android has had that functionality for
years, but when the real world is included in the situation, it turns out
the iOS mechanism is fatally flawed the instant any complication comes up.

For example... (if you read the thread you would have known this...)

How is that going to work when you have to give the old phone back to
T-Mobile at the store before they will hand you a new replacement?

Even though I told them the phone was wiped, they wiped it again and ran
tests on the wiped phone _before_ they even handed me the new phone nospam.

Also how is the migration on iOS going to work WITHOUT needing a second
computer? And without ever putting a single bit of your data on the net?

The migration on Android was trivial without a second computer.
The migration on Android was trivial without needing both phones.
The migration on Android was trivial without needing the Internet.
--
And, if none of those complications existed, the migration on Android is
trivial anyway given Google makes backup & restore easy for most people
(as long as you don't care about your privacy on the Internet anyway).

Where again is the basic functionality of an sd slot on the iPhone nospam?

We're still waiting for one URL to an app on the Apple App store nospam.

You have yet to point to even a single free app functionality on the Apple
App Store that isn't _already_ (long ago) found for free for Android nospam.

The challenge of you to stop your bullshit still remains a very low bar.
*name just one*

I think it's funny how nospam cuts and pastes pure Apple bullshit
advertising when he can't name even a _single_ smartphone chip Apple has
_ever_ designed by themselves that is anywhere near best in class quality.

HINT: If a CPU has to be throttled just to not shut down unexpectedly, it's
not a best in class design by any means. Same with the shitty modem IC's
Apple puts in their phones that Intel designed for them. Don't even get us
started on the failed GPU SOCs Apple stop making due to internal failures.

The only best in class technology in Apple smartphones are those that Apple
buys from the likes of Qualcomm who are actually world class design houses.

Apple doesn't even own the design skills to just _integrate_ an existing
modem into their own SOCs for heaven's sake (Android did that long ago!).

Even the hugely advertised Apple cameras have never come out as best in
class in actual real world quality of result tests by independent testers.

it hasn't.

it isn't.

meanwhile, your 'migration' failed to complete.

What ceases to be shocking is that you ignorant apologists, nospam, are
blissfully unaware that *it's _impossible_ to back up your iOS iPhone apps*
(all of them, even ones that no longer exist on the App Store - the exact
specific versions even) directly to your phone (without ever needing an
entire second computer nor by even needing to plan ahead to back anything up
ahead of time) and then move those apps directly onto the new phone -
without needing both in your hand and without needing a second computer and
without needing the Internet just to do what the phone should be able to do.

*This modern functionality is trivial on Android & yet _impossible_ on iOS*

The only way you can claim you can do on iOS what I just did today on
Android is for you to fabricate completely imaginary iOS functionality.

How are you going to back up _all_ your apps, even all the apps you didn't
back up prior, to the exact version that you had, even if that app or
version no longer exists on the iOS app store, and then put that exact
version of the app onto _any_ smartphone (even one you never owned before
and which you have no account on) without the use of the cloud or another
computer nospam?

The fact remains that the iPhone is so crippled it can't even do something
as simple and basic as that without needing the iCloud or a second computer.

The iPhone, all by its itty bitty self, is literally crippled.
The iOS apps are stone age primitive hand tools compared to Android tools.

*What's trivial on Android for app backup & restore is _impossible_ on iOS.*
--
It's not because Apple hardware is crippled but only because Apple cripples
what iOS apps can do such that you can't do something as simple as that.
