I have Linux Mint installed as a virtual machine.
Currently, when I try to exit/shutdown Linux,
a Linux "session" window comes up with only the options:
suspend/restart/cancel. I've restarted etc to no avail.

How can I get it back to "normal" configuration???
Please don't take too much for granted when you answer (I can
type whatever you suggest at the command line).

Somehow, I did something which resulted in the buttons
"suspend/restart/cancel"
on the session screen becoming
"suspend/restart/cancel/shutdown", fixing my problem, at least for now.

Perhaps the problem was created by an update I installed a few days ago,
and fixed by an update that I installed earlier this evening?
