I am using Debian current on my refurbished laptop.

I have installed texlive last week, and noticed that many latex
utilities are missing. Has texlive been slimmed down?

The missing utility was latex4ebook.

I did. I should say that I used an incantation of pandoc, which works
OK. my question was rather, has texlive been been slimmed down a little?
