Today I installed a Thunderbird update version 102.15.1.

This afternoon, I can receive emails but cannot send.

I can send and receive messages to/from alt.comp.test NG so it cannot be caused by firewalls etc.

I wondered if it could be the default outging SMPT server. That seems OK.
Changing it another made no difference.

When I click Send, the top menu ond the Subject field grey out.

TIA

Alan

Usenet uses 119/563 and mail uses 587/465 and maybe 25, all TCP.
Check if you can reach you server with
telnet <server-IP> <port>

Then firewall isn't the problem.
Try to send an email again.
Maybe install Wireshark and do sniffing. You should see the TCP
handshake to the SMTP sever.

I don't get it.
I'm frightened it won't last. :(
