For reasons unknown, the system font turned into italics.
I read articles about how to fix the default font by
a Registry edit. It -almost- worked. Italics are mostly
absent, but the time display on the taskbar is slightly
wrong: the colon is a little box. The digits look fine.
This is surely in the Minor Annoyances category, but
I'm curious. I'm also curious about how the font got
changed in the first place.

"Cause

This issue happens if you’ve changed the default system fonts - especially
Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType) or Segoe UI (TrueType) to
Segoe UI Black, Arial, or a third-party font.

Many people face this issue after inadvertently changing the default
system fonts using a third-party tweaker program. The chosen font may be
missing the Unicode U+2236 symbol, which represents the colon character."

I had an issue with the fonts and found this registry file. You can use regedit to backup this data just in case.
It worked for me, but I'm not saying it will. Buyer beware !!!

I backed up the Registry and applied this update.
It seems to have worked!

Thanks :)
