Linux kernel on Linux Mint there is a bug that stops all USB 3 hubs from
working.

https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmint/comments/ryawho/usb_devices_not_working_at_all_after_update_to_203/

I wonder if it has been fixed? 2 years later

The moment any organization established from pure noble intentions get
some influence, it will be corrupted from both inside and outside.
Then we have organizations established from pure evil.

Presumably traceable to a root cause ?

Then, see if the root cause shows up in the thing you are interested in.

If the item happens to be something with the word "LTS" in the name,
then such a thing should not be having its feature set changed,
but on the other hand, it also receives bug fixes in the form of
point releases.

https://www.kernel.org/category/releases.html

https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.15

You can see in their example of checking a kernel release,
there are lots of fields.

5.6.19-300.fc32.x86_64

For an LTS, the first two would be fixed (until the end of the
support period, which is supposed to be 2026). The fields after
it would allow point releases to be issued.

the Reddit link isn't working now, so I can't refer to it.
