No official announcement yet at the time of writing, but LM 21.3
(nicknamed Virginia) Stable can be downloaded from a number of
mirrors.
For instance:
https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/linuxmint/stable/21.3/
and
https://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/linuxmint/stable/21.3/
and
https://ftp.fau.de/mint/iso/stable/21.3/
More mirrors:
https://linuxmint.com/mirrors.php

Release notes:
https://www.linuxmint.com/rel_virginia.php

The official announcement (and upgrade instructions) will follow soon,
I presume.

Yes, just waiting until all the mirrors are in sync and that the unpgrade
instructions are documented, so that Mint is not deluged with How to and Its
not working remarks.

LM home and download pages still list LM 21.2 as the current release
at the time of writing, but LM 21.2 users can upgrade to 21.3 as of
today. I just did, without problems, except my modified main menu
applet wouldn't load. I had to apply my small modifications to the new
applet. Also, the Window List thumbnails had reappeared. I had to
disable them again.

Sounds like minimal issues. I'm going to upgrade a VM copy later. I'm
going to hold off for a while on the main system.

I updated both my main systems using the 21.3 MATE beta.

Extremely painless switchover from 21.2 to 21.3.

I use alternating root partitions like (say) /dev/sda5 and /dev/sda6 such
that I always have a working system to downgrade to if necessary.

In effect, once the new root partition is installed, I can basically
shutdown 21.2 and reboot to 21.3. And vice versa, if need be.

Regards,

Jack
