I'm looking at a new laptop which has integrated Intel Iris XE
graphics. Anyone know if Mint 21.3 is happy with
that?

It is, if you grab the "Edge" iso, or just install 6.5 after the fact.
5.15 "works(tm)", but you need at least 6.0 or 6.1 for the correct intel
drivers to be included.

21.3 Edge installed this morning on the new laptop without problem.
