Hi,
i followed the tutorial on sec3 dot com.
i have postfix configured with dovecot-lmtp.
following this page https://wiki.dovecot.org/procmail i have configured
dovecot-lmtp to work with procmail.
listing in ~/yamn/yamn gives:

> chunkdb idlog key.txt Maildir mlist2.txt pool pubring.mix secring.mix yamn yamn.cfg yamn.log
sending to yamn@mydomain.name subject:remailer-key gave me *no answer* ...

Is your postfix also configured that it puts incoming mail in the users Maildir
folder? I ask because of your dovecot/procmail set-up. The Maildir folder for
yamn needs to bee in yamn's home directory and not in the yamn folder, where
the other yamn related files are.

Regards
Stefan

Stefan got here first! But anyways here is my answer to your YAMN question:

For YAMN to process mail it needs two things:

1) YAMN running in daemon mode
2) a procmail rule in /home/yamn/.procmailrc

===============
SHELL=/bin/bash
ORGMAIL=${HOME}/yamn/Maildir/
DEFAULT=${ORGMAIL}
PMDIR=$HOME/procmail
LOGFILE=$PMDIR/procmail.log
# LOGFILE=/dev/null
# # This pipes all incoming mail to my remailer script Yamn
:0
| /home/yamn/yamn/yamn -R -M

===============

If you followed the tutorial

"Install YAMN As a Remailer Server on a VPS"
<https://www.sec3.net/yamnhelp/install_yamn_remailer.html>

then you should have both installed. My guess is your procmail set up is
different than what the tutorial suggests and your incoming mail is
being placed somewhere different, and not in
/home/yamn/Maildir/new where YAMN wants it.

Yep,
in my case yamn is virtual user and this is its folder:

> /var/vmail/*MYDOMAIN*/yamn/Maildir/

That's why .... :(

In yamn.cfg take a look at this section:

=============
[Files]
# Maildir directory to scan for incoming messages.
# If not set, the default is to look for a /Maildir
# directory under the directory where the binary
# resides
Maildir = "/home/yamn/yamn/Maildir"
