OK the embedded was to crippled to live so I loaded a 7 home I had.
By stripping it down I got it under 14g and it fits on the 16g
internal SATA MLC SSD. Got all the streaming aps I want going and I
think it is ready to go, driving a TV.

One question. Is there a way to install programs and load them on D:?
That form factor SSD seems to be unobtanium, at least in the cheap
places. I don't really expect any new programs but who knows. Plan B
is cludge up a regular SATA drive (spinner or SSD) inside with a drive
extender cable or an external in a USB case.

One interesting thing. I have 2 of these and I just cloned the drive
and wrote the image to the other SSD on the other machine without
doing anything but resetting BIOS, to default, setting the boot order
and zapping the drive.
It booted OK but I got the nag screen about an "illegal copy of
windows" that I didn't get with the same image on the first machine
after it was up, verified and happy. I thought MS had caught me
copying their OS but as soon as I booted with it online, it said it
was going to check the authenticity of my OS and a few seconds later I
got the message I was genuine and good to go., I guess they don't care
about 7 anymore. If you have 25 letters that makes the install happy
it is OK no many how many times you use it.

Crazy! Windows NT4 came on 3 crunchy disks (3x1.44M) - and one of those
was device drivers.

I'm surprised: not by the size, but the availability - I thought '95 was
the last one available on floppies (though also on CD) - about 20 of
them, IIRR, and probably on the special format that actually got (IIRR
again) about 1.6M on each (apart from the first one of course).
