Computer was running a bit slow this morning, mystified as to why -
because nothing was open.

No progs, no IM, no nothing - but task manager showed multiple
instances of chrome running.

So there was a new icon in the taskbar by the date / time, a google
chrome icon.

Never been there before.

Right-click, one of the options was "Let Chrome run in the
background".

Unchecked it, killed the Chrome tasks, uninstalled Chrome from the
computer.
