The reason you believe that is simply because of three things, Jolly Roger:

Apple's strategy clearly is to slowly remove functionality year after year.
So that you have to buy it back.

Apple proved by their actions they removed the chargers so that they could
sell more fast chargers (it's also why Apple uses laughably puny batteries).
