As far as I have read, it seems the original programmer made relatively few money despite the games being successfull, basically Datasoft screwed him out of the money because they could deduct 100% of the porting costs from the money

It actually appears once you enter. I suggest entering, don't move and look around for a minute before approaching the purple area to see if you can find it. You have to talk to Blaidd outside it though I think. - Justisaur
