Then you can quote where the word "nuclear" was used.
We'll wait.

No need — references to Nagasaki and Hiroshima in the context of stopping a war
quickly are understood — at least by thinking persons — to be references to the
use of nuclear weapons. They have been for more than 70 years.

No need — references to Nagasaki and Hiroshima in the context of stopping a war
quickly are understood — at least by thinking persons — to be references to the
use of nuclear weapons, especially when both Nagasaki and Hiroshima are
mentioned in the same context. They have been for more than 70 years. Walberg
advocated dropping nuclear weapons on Gaza.

The word "nuclear" didn't need to appear. It was necessarily implied by the
context. The neo-Nazi was advocating the use of nuclear weapons. That's what "It
should be like Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Get it over quick." necessarily means.
Everyone knows it.

Really ?

"Knuckle-dragging Republicans" have been In-Charge a number of
times since the (continuing) Cold War started. The NEAREST to
destruction was because of JFK, who was not a Republican.

And WHAT about Hiroshima and Nagasaki that made the

Sort of ... but the RISK FACTOR was EXTREME, way
more than anything seen before or since (so far).

Actually JFK didn't even solve it - it was the
"back-channel" boyz. THEY prevented The War,
came up with the needed compromises.

STILL wonder if JFK wasn't shot over THAT debacle.

JFK was a Rich Boy who got off on "brinksmanship".
This was NOT an especially great thing in the 60s
once Russia also had thermo-nukes.

DO note that even a dozen good thermo-nuke hits on
the USA at the time would have TRASHED most of our
socio-economic infrastructure. Those good ole'
nasty fission/fusion/fission megaton+ devices made
HUGE fallout plumes. A hit in Dallas, maybe in
Colorado Springs too, would have POISONED the
bulk of our corn/wheat crops for YEARS. Add one
other hit near the TVA nuke facilities and most
of the southeastern/central crops would wilt
as well. No food = No Country.

Everybody thinks cities/mil-bases ... but anything
that compromises FOOD is MUCH worse ...........

As for Russkies ... hope they all catch Super-Herpes.
Medieval mindsets carried into a much more dangerous
modern reality ....

Tell yer patron Xi that you haven't fooled anybody.
There's a place for you, on one of the collective
farms out west .......

Yeah, really.

He could've referenced any number of historic military events. Pearl Harbor, the fall of
Berlin, the sack of Carthage, Agincourt, Midway, Little Bighorn, Napoleon at Waterloo,
even Desert Storm! But no. He references the two cities that are world famous for just
*one* thing; they were the only targets in all of history to get nuked in combat.

But this isn't the Cold War is it?

The US wasn't under threat was it?

The Congressman isn't President, is he?

No, he's just another knuckle dragging Republican, pretending to be a tough guy, flashing
his ignoramus Trumpling creds for all to see by raising the specter of using nukes to
against a tiny country that's doing us no harm.

Why, exactly?

Because he let his alligator mouth overload his jaybird ass just to prove how like Trump
he is. He didn't even stand by his words! (again, like Trump) The coward couldn't back
pedal fast enough!
