Something was wrong with the MIME encoding on Subject. I replaced it
with ASCII.

I'm very fond of Silent Running, one of the few movies he directed. It
doesn't get shown very often.

He had something to do with the development of IMAX. He had his own
company. I'm not sure how far he'd gotten but he was bought out.

Absolute genius with regard to the technology of movies and if Hollywood
had listened to him, television would have been held at bay longer,
especially in the early '70s.

Wasn't he also involved with Star Wars?

He had a high frame rate film system called Showscan that was
never widely adopted.Sometimes the bleeding edge never becomes
the leading edge.
