He started with a good bill, then tossed it to the senate and cringed. Then, it got ripped to bits, and everything that would have actually been helpful was gutted. This is the office of president of the United States. They really don't have much power.

civilian labor force participation rate is still *far* below what it was in
March 2020, and it is trending back down. In other words, people *in* the labor
force aren't losing their jobs and filing for unemployment, but neither are
people who dropped out of the labor force coming back to work. We still have
too many deadbeats sucking down extended unemployment benefits and other dole
handouts, and Biden has done nothing (yet) to reverse that.
