Adam Windsor, who has died aged 41, was once the pride of Dory Funk’s “Funkin Conservatory” training ground. The British-born wrestling star saw success on the NWA circuit in the United States during the early 2000s. Windsor was suffering from heart problems at the time of his death.

Y'know, like the late Butterfly McQueen*'s most celebrated role, I's don't know NUTTIN' about so-called "pro" wrestling.

STILL...any alt-obits regular reader may have noticed herein that these not-so-serious athletes sure SEEM to often die rather younger than a lot of other chiseled pro jocks. I suspect steroids here, but I'm (correctly) widely deemed a cynic. Ergo, anyone got any data as to their longevity as a (rather-wacky) class? Grateful (not Dead but rather) thanks, in advance!

National Wrestling Alliance...it functioned as an ostensible
regulatory body for the sport until no promoters wanted to
share its titles with the competition.

At its peak the NWA was far more cartel than regulatory body. Promoters carved up North America into fiefdoms and worked together to squash competition.
