last Thursday (or, perhaps, Tuesday), and all of your memories were
implanted in your head for the Glory of God or some other unfathomable

It seems odd to me. Why not just create things, as the Genesis account
says that God did? I could understand 7 days but why 13.7 billion years
with periods of very little activity interspersed with periods of chaos,
destruction, large-scale exterminations and mass extinctions, all in a
Universe which continues to expand without any unique center to its
expansion? Per some of the cosmological models, only the tinniest
fraction of our Universe is even visible to us, which, if correct, means
that there are vast, vast parts of the Universe that are forever beyond
our "horizon", meaning that no information from those parts of space
will reach astronomers' telescopes, ever.

Just seems an odd way for a Creator to do things.

Give him a call and ask. Who knows how big the universe is? Why is it
expanding? Because it was created to do so. Entropy plays a part in this
also.
