Aside from the various reasons this story is sadly all-too-indicative of the sorts of outrageous, deadly things that often happen in demographically-troubled burgs like Atlanta, this coverage is notable for ALSO for journalistic malpractice:

The TV newswriter--or the on-scene, semi-literate correspondent--wrote that the still-at-large perp is "on the lamb".

Evidently the killer escaped on what might be termed a "getaway sheep".
