In case you hadn't guessed already, this is how all these
politically-laden doomsday predictions REALLY get made.

Sometimes the very worst model IS correct - global Covid
infections/deaths for example. But most of the time the
"less interesting" predictions get thrown in the trash
because the politicians aren't interested in those -
they want "justification" for whatever they've already
decided to do.
