The previous list has scrolled off this server...but the death of
the 3rd Baron Wakehurst on July 29 has culled the list of peers
older than Queen Elizabeth II to I believe only one life peer
(Baron Christopher born April 25th 1925) and four hereditary
peers:

Feb 21 1925 Walsingham B
March 31 1926 Ailesbury M

Lord Wakehurst was the son of Margaret,last surviving child of
Margaret(1899-1994),last surviving child of Sir Charles Tennant
(1823-1906),and of course the 2nd Baron Wakehurst KG,former
Governor of Northern Ireland.

HRH The Duke of Kent succeeded to his father's peerages 80 years ago today. No other duke in the peerage has enjoyed a 'reign' of eighty years.

These peers remain to survive the Queen,barring any
late notification of recent deaths.

And so,these are the remaining peers who acceded in reigns
before those of the now-deceased Queen.History will tell which
of them is their last survivor,and one day the last survivor of
peerage holders from the Queen's reign (which included an earl
born in 1857 who died in its first year,and another born 2004
who may see the 22nd century).
