Elana Dykewomon (née Nachman) who died August 7, 2022, aged 72, was an American lesbian activist, author, editor, and teacher. She was a recipient of the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Fiction.

Well, at least the late Ms. Dykewomon was someone who:

1) Avoided misnomers when selecting a new surname; and

2) Astutely avoided choosing Mankiller* as her new stage surname, a memorable name which, NOT INCIDENTALLY, you may have lately noticed intimidatingly-gracing the new entry in the now-woke-infected-yet-nonetheless-still-wonderful State Quarters program of the United States Mint. (It's a two-bits coin which The Mint SHOULD have issued as an Oklahoma entry, as THAT'S WHERE SHE WAS FROM--born in 1945, and Oklahoma statehood was in 1907--but INSTEAD is, weirdly (but surely due to misguided federal indigenous deference), a State Quarter which on NEITHER side ever MENTIONS The Sooner State!

Meanwhile, now that it's the Cleveland Guardians playing aside Lake Erie, I'm guessing it's out of the question that some future Ohio entry in the still-largely lovely State Quarter series will feature the late Chief Wahoo.

Perhaps a cartoon-basd coinage set can feature Big Chief Wahoo,who handed
his strip over to Steve Roper.

But I am impatient for the quarter designs to return to the normal
eagle reverse,whose status as the default needs to be affirmed for
