There are alt sites: Gab, Parler, etc. One of these will may catch fire, and
become the Fox News of the online space. I.e. it will be THE alternative to
state media. Hopefully, more than one, but one would be enough!

FB and Twit have simply become a REFLEX for
most people (me, I have them blacklisted,
won't even come up in my browser). This means
those "alternative" sites get a pretty small
market share.

No, the proper, and capitalist, approach is to
go for a biz takeover. Get that 51% - then
clean house.

But COMPLAINING is SO much cheaper and takes
almost zero actual effort .............

So many people I've spoken to say Twitter is a cesspool. I've never had an
interest in it. FB I go on semi regularly, it's pretty friendly most of the
time. Twitter is just hell reimagined....

I think the more voices, the better for our society. It's not whether we
agree with a particular viewpoint, but when there are many voices competing
in the marketplace of ideas, there is less chance that the scum will float
to the top.
