What I don't understand is, whenever non-criminal tragedies like this happen to THAT many people in a single incident (usually it's a festive, religious or sports gathering), invariably, it will turn out that it was not in the U.S.

Maybe if you posted the text you want people to comment on, instead of
merely pasting a link to a page that is doubtless filled with auto-play
video ads, tracking cookies, and dozens of other annoyances, and then
after we get there, we will still have to dismiss one popup after another
