Hugh McKean,the Republican Minority Leader of the
Colorado State House,born October 27th 1967,was
found dead on the morning of October 30th 2022
according to the Colorado Sun and others,the
coroner's office declaring he died of a heart attack.
He had beaten off a right-wing challenger in his
primary and there was no Democrat running against
him in November.
A party committee will choose who fills his seat,
while the minority leader and assistant minority
leader positions will need to be filled by the
elected representatives (the assistant leader
had resigned earlier this month).
