Johnny Marr has paid a touching tribute to his former Modest Mouse bandmate Jeremiah Green.

It was announced on New Year’s Day that Green had died aged 45 just days after it was revealed he was battling stage four cancer.

Hailing Green as ‘the most creative musician I’ve ever met,’ Marr posted a throwback photo of his late friend alongside an emotional caption on social media.

Marr wrote: ‘The great Jeremiah Green. My friend, bandmate, and the most creative musician I ever met.’
