Oh, and doesn't Stephen Stills now look pretty good as being somehow behind the David Crosby death?

As anyone who reads Rolling Stone knows, Stills is well-known as a temperamental hothead, and so I can't think of anyone higher on the list of suspects. (Nash and Young both strike me as pretty peaceable guys, so hope the police don't lean TOO heavily on them, but given the current state of pop music, they should ALSO be investigated, doncha think?

I just now realized that my Bacharach-David joke above employed a phrase--"his longtime partner"--which was perilously close semantically to that infamous Hollywood press euphemism in showbiz obituaries for closeted gays ("longtime companion") !

Clearly, I would have better served the memories of those gifted songsmiths Bacharach and David had I phrased it, "...his longtime songwriting-team partner."

Of course, Bacharach WAS the marrying type--and (sequentially) to Angie Dickinson and Carole Bayer Sager, no less!
