Lol. I quit responding to and seldom read LZ's posts a number of years before his death, as well. But somewhere near the end I couldn't help myself when LZ took and stoutly maintained a position that held Nebraska was "merging" with South Dakota. It's far enough in the of the past that I don't remember the particulars but it had to do with an argument over the exact position of the borderline between the states. I know I joined in the thread and posted a picture from Google maps of sign that appeared to blow his argument out of the water. But LZ was never one to be deterred by facts, especially offered by those with only one DD214. I'm pretty sure the battle dragged on until all the combatants (save LZ) grew bored and moved on. As was often the case, LZ was seldom right, but quite tenacious.

I'm trying for the middle ground compromise - moderately annoying. At
the end of the day going forward, I think that "not seriously
annoying" is an efficacious step toward that self-imposed goal.
