Companies are closing office access again, and grab on to something because down the tube we go again, into probably another terrible year. I stopped counting, it's like 800K dead now or more, no matter who is president. The virus is beating us because it mutates faster than we can grow philosophically, in the department of personal liberty and actions that potentially harm others in the context of a global pandemic. If a virus was much more lethal than Covid there would be martial law and vaccinations would be mandatory, or placed in quarantine. Since one copy of a clotting factor gene is enough, and excess clotting factor is not a good thing,
a process called lyonization will sometimes inactivate one of the genes, or at least reduce it's output.

It is possible that if a woman is a carrier, the inactivated gene will be her good
gene for producing clotting factor. In this case the woman will bruise very
easily, and cuts will heal slowly. So some carriers do show signs of their
genetic problem, but not all. Thus it is possible to do more than speculate on
some cases of historical significance, even when other evidence is unavailable.

Really? Google says it was Maria - and confirms what I've read
elsewhere that only one of the 4 daughters carried the gene (meaning
that had she survived to have children half her sons would have had
hemophilia and half her daugthers would have been carriers)
