Your link didn't connect, Derek...leaving the question remaining, if the late Potts was the penultimate USS Arizona survivor, who now is the ULTIMATE, i.e., final, survivor of the still-commissioned* (if sunken) ship?

==================* Someone better acquainted with U.S. Naval history can correct me if I'm wrong, but: Aren't the Arizona (nowadays beneath the surface in Pearl Harbor) and the U.S.S. Constitution (still afloat but moored in an inlet of Boston Harbor near Charlestown) still officially-commissioned vessels in the U.S. Navy, meaning (among other things) that their flags are still hoisted and lowered by sailors daily?

Okay, it turns out that Lou Conter--at 101 a bit younger than the late Potts--is the final surviving USS Arizona survivor, so good (and lucky) for him! (Wonder if he, Potts, et al. had one of those last-survivor-gets-to-open-the-wine/champaign-bottle agreements goin'?).

Further...if the USS Arizona had NOT been hit and sunk,I wonder how many survivors it would still have from the larger pool?
(I believe that when the last survivor of the RMS Titanic's 1912 maiden voyage died,there were still survivors of its sister
ship RMS Olympic's 1911 maiden voyage,given that they had all survived the trip to begin with rather than losing most of their
number to catastrophe).
