Dave Davies writes on Facebook today: "I’m really shocked and surprised about the demise of David Quaife, brother to Pete. God bless him."

Dave M Quaife's final Facebook post, dated April 12, reads cryptically:

A Problem can someone contact my wife."

Replies to the post indicate that David Quaife was injured in a car accident while driving to pick up family members from the airport, then suffered kidney and liver failure.

Pete Quaife (1943 - 2010) was the founding bassist for The Kinks and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His brother David, based out of Chelmsford, England, was the Founding Executive Director of the Pete Quaife Foundation, which raised money to support children on dialysis.
