I'm experimenting with a new system. One of its phases involves
positional limits. That's awkward for Euromillions because the positions
are 8/9, 17, 25/26, 34, 42/43. Coming up with a balanced set of numbers
for a competition like this is problematic unless repetition is allowed
eg 8,9,17,17,25,26,34,34,42,43 is ten numbers.

Oh well, there's always next year's WLC, if any of us are still around.

I'm just not a fan of the Euro Mill. For many years I did the works
syndicate for it and we just didn't get the returns. The prize tiers are
not fair. If you get 3 numbers then we know that this 3 doubles. But the
prize you get is not the same as 3 x 2 doubles or 3 x 2 doubles with a
premium. I think I wrote to them to complain.

I still do the works syndicate (even though I have retired) but we now do
the Lotto. Same issue but the pain is less ;-)

For a time, but in shadow mode, I did the Euro Hot Picks with choosing 2
from 12. The prize for getting 2 right is a �100. The cost is �99. Me
predictions for that were poor.

Jerome won with a 3 in 11 in round 7, winning 11332.5 euro
Nan won with a 3 in 11 in round 7, winning 11332.5 euro
Constant won with a 3 in 11 in round 3, winning 2767.5 euro
Alphazero won in just round 1, winning 1252.5 euro.

twice expectation. But with positional limits, 25th and 26th should be
either/or, not both. So a decent result suggests the system isn't working!

I also use the technique of position selection, however the accuracy weighting is insufficient. As a result, I normally change the weights by looking for the same numbers in both the position and probability prediction numbers.

result IMO (three from tenish), but still not quite what I wrote on the

multiple of any of the drawn numbers drop below 50%?

I don't know the answer to your question.

Initially I was drawn to tracking wholly divisible by 5 and would always
make sure my line entries for the work's syndicate had this. Then started
looking at divisible wholly by 3. It's quite low hanging fruit really but
86% was such a compelling factor that I now track this instead,; although we
do the Lotto instead (which has the same characteristic).

My answer is 8, when it drops to 49%.

Note that some number sequences with gaps of 8 eg 1,9,17,25,33,41,49
will have a 55% chance of at least one number being drawn.

That's interesting. Not sure how I can use that. I've been putting numbers
into 3 channels - Prime and Fibonacci, then 3s and then the rest. Then
choosing 2 (excel randomly) from each channel.

I bet Leonardo da Vinci never had this much fun with a spreadsheet ;-)
