This piece linked below may just be more typical hyperventilating by The Star's celebrity desk, but then again, 450 days IS a long time not to be seen in public, even for an every-detail-attentive director working on a new film.

Eastwood turns 93 on May 31st--the same day equally-legendary macho man Joe Namath reaches his 80s, incidentally--and I sure hope Harry Calahan's* justly-celebrated alter ego is still quite hale but just too darned busy to be doing the media thing right now.

Eastwood remains one of the finest filmmakers ever, not to mention an iconic actor...AS WELL as being (by most accounts, at least) just an all-around good guy, something all too rare in 2023 Hollywood.
