Dow falls 980 points, S&P, Nasdaq crater 2%+ on rate hike
fears. The yield on the 10-Year Treasury nears 3%

Well, for better or worse, the standard cure for
inflation is RATE HIKES. It DOES work - though it
does a fair amount of damage too.

On the plus, if you kept a fair amount in interest-earning
investments, this is where they start paying something
again. It adds up.

Best advice, keep about two thirds in good stocks, preferably
mostly those that do pay interest, and the rest in bonds CDs
or even savings, cash-equivs, where interest can compound.
'Purist' investment strategies will BURN you on one swing
of the proverbial pendulum or the other. And, most of all,
DON'T PANIC.

Gold/silver ? Oddly those have NOT gone up much, not nearly
enough to compete with JoeFlation. You can't eat gold coins
either nor spend them at the 7-11 ........

Oh yea ... the real-estate bubble is about to burst too.
Just sayin' ....... remember what happened last time ?

Or are investment strategies "too white" ? Some suggest
that you're supposed to be out there sellin' dope and
doing drive-bys on you competitors ... they'll PRAISE
you for that lifestyle. In LA the prosecutor will cut
you loose immediately .........
