I knew he'd been sick. The L.A. Times obituary said he'd been suffering
from COPD and finally had a double-lung transplant but it sure doesn't
sound like he'd made a full recovery.

On This Is Us, his character is best known for having been killed off,
then they kept bringing him back.

No further mention/appearance after the character's arrest;
I wonder if the actor's health played a role in that.
