One suggestion the police DIDN'T make, apparently, was that if you must withdraw cash, try to do it when you don't have to return to your car or your home for hours. At least that way, the thugs won't have a license number they can trace. (Or at least, they just might get tired of waiting for hours for you to come out of any building that you walk into after leaving the bank.)

And in a different case, last month, in Houston, two of the three robbers ended up dead.
