Beautiful or ugly ?

Maybe a little of both.

Basically a rad-design hatchback ... but with a
cardboard-composite body.

Re-do it in fiberglas.

Yes, you can build things out of resin-soaked
paper but cellulose fibers still tend to attract
moisture and begin to disintegrate. Seems to be
most 'eco', you'd want to use even less resin,
but that'd amplify the moisture issues. Finally,
cellulose fibers just aren't as strong as glass
fibers = less tensile strength.

Old cardboard/paper can have its uses. We've seen
those kinda soft-ish molded package inserts that
replace protective foam and bubble-wrap. Spray
the stuff down with certain mineral solutions
like borax for fire/insect-proofing and it can
be good thermal insulation too. For INDOOR uses
pulp+glue might be OK as a wood substitute for
furnishings. Fireproofed and pressed it could
even be a fair replacement for that Chinese
dry-wall board and "Hardie Board" for interior
walls and partitions.

Insomnia isn't anything to lose sleep over.
