"An El Niño winter is coming. Here’s what that could mean for the US"

They're predicting a warm and dry Winter for us. That's not really a big deal here, as long as it isn't followed by a hot dry summer. It is a bit spooky when you are in the mountains and there is no snow where there should be many feet of it.

It sounds like it *might* be a rough Winter for our friends in the South East section of the country.

I can handle it. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night has
kept - or will keep - me from my grilling table. I've got a
weather-proven raincoat, field jacket, floppy hat, 2 generators, extra
Kraken, extra Black and Tan, and a bag full of perseverance. The only
thing that concerns me is the unique possibility of assault hail
taking out my Dishy....but I've got a backup for that, too.
