Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday that undocumented
migrants released into his state will be shipped to the
steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C., as border
checkpoints struggle to manage the flow of people attempting
to enter the United States and the Biden administration's
move to eliminate the Title 42 expulsion provision.

The state will provide charter buses to drop off migrants –
many released into small Texas communities that officials
say are overwhelmed – in Washington, the Republican governor
said in a news conference.

"We are sending them to the United States Capitol where
the Biden administration will be able to more immediately
address the needs of the people that they are allowing to
come across our border," Abbott said.

He noted that cities along the Texas-Mexico border have
bused migrants to San Antonio.

"So I said I got a better idea. As opposed to busing these
people to San Antonio, let's continue the ride all the way
to Washington D.C.," Abbott said.

The first location where migrants will be dropped off is
the U.S. Capitol, officials said.

W. Nim Kidd, chief of the Texas Division of Emergency Management,
said his agency will "use as many buses as we need"

He also announced actions to deter illegal immigration, such
as using razor wire in low-water crossings. This week, the
Texas National Guard will begin the first phase of "mass
migration" rehearsals in preparation for a potential influx
of migrants at the border, officials said.

"If you're a caravan organizer and you think you're going
to overwhelm or overrun a port of entry, we'll be there
waiting for you," said Maj. General Thomas Suelzer, the
Texas National Guard adjutant general.

.. . .

Well ... Joe love 'em so much, he should HAVE them :-)

Umpteen THOUSANDS of them ...

Deputize the locals too - this is going to require a
lot of hands-on effort.

Florida gov De Santis once said he would send dumped-off
illegals to Joe's home address in Delaware. Not sure if
he did or not.

In any case, DO give the 'immigrants' little pocket maps
featuring where 'stars' like Joe and AOC and Kamala and
live :-)

And DO states have to follow federal laws anymore ? The
west coast always seems to get away with ignoring them -
be it the "sanctuary cities" ignoring federal immigration
laws to the huge pot industry that grew there despite
federal drug laws and blatantly racist rules about hiring
practices and school curriculums. If it's OK for Cal/Or/WA
then it's OK for any other state too whether it's a "liberal"
cause or not.

Hmm ... maybe Joe/AOC and friends want an excuse to declare
war on the 'red' states ? Invalidate their votes ? Steal all
their money ??? Then he can "fight fascism", just like Putin ...

That will be fun. Unless Texas can point to a law they have
allegedly violated, Texas will face a tsunami of false arrest and
false imprisonment suits. Everybody in US territory is coverred
by the Bill of Rights including no loss of freedom without due
process.

There is a lot of unspent COVID money already out there.
There is also a huge amount of corruption in the system where people are getting rich with pretend
businesses and taking government funds and so forth.

And then there is the 10's of thousands of immigrants streaming across the border and being
relocated all over the country.
Most are not tested yet legal citizens have rules to follow when coming from other countries.

None of this makes sense to me.

I think Biden needs to put the brakes on the COVID relief and take stock of what we already have
and investigate the fraud and so forth before dumping even more money into the system.
