Patients are waiting up to four years for treatment, despite
the Health Secretary’s promise to tackle long waits, new
data show.

Latest NHS figures revealed a nine-fold rise in the numbers
waiting at least two years for routine treatment, with almost
24,000 people facing such waits.

In addition, an investigation revealed more than 90 waits
of at least three years, with the longest waits stretching
up to four years.

Latest official figures from NHS England showed that a total
of 23,778 people in England were waiting more than two years
to start routine hospital treatment at the end of January –
about nine times the 2,608 people who were waiting longer
than two years in April 2021.

After WW2, resurgent Europe was in a position to make
a lot of money - and/or grab a lot of US reconstruction
funds. In that environment Socialized anything seemed
affordable.

But then reality set in, regulators set in, tax bills
set in and CHINA set in. The money dried up.

Services had to be cut, and cut more. Cheap foreign labor
had to be recruited. Then Covid and abused workers quit
in droves. Now it's reached its logical end - no money/people
for "socialized" - well, unless you're govt elite or
something ......

Basically they robbed the rich until there ain't no
rich no more - local money-making industry moved
offshore or just died. 'Socialism/Communism' RELIES
on people to rob. It's rarely in the black, bleeds
red most of the time. That's unsustainable. Think
fossil fuels are unsustainable, well THIS situation
bites a lot FASTER, HARDER, CLOSER TO HOME.

So ... unless the UK (and EU) plans to make doctors
and staff slaves, pretty much literally with guns
to their heads, 'socialized' medicine and a lot of
other 'socialized' services are OVER. It was tried,
it couldn't work and failed. A mass delusion, Marxist
propaganda rather than reality. Many are fooled by
their rhetoric - and then REAL sets in.

The UK misused their money by spending too much on useless on their
defence industry. Their public healthcare fund was diverted to building
and maintaining their shiny new aircraft carrier.

Canada is managing socialized healthcare and socialized medicine nicely.
The US is trying to copy.
