Hage Geingob,born August 3rd 1941,
died February 4th 2024 (local time),
according to various sources...he
had served as President of Namibia
and its ruling SWAPO party since
2015.

He had one of those names that sticks
in my head,I had actually mused on him
in recent days without recalling which
position he currently held in his country.

at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.

He was succeeded by his vice president,only 12 days younger,
who is not running in the November elections for the next term;
a woman nine years younger is set to be the ruling party
candidate.
