A controversy has erupted in recent days in the southern
Karnataka state, ruled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), over revisions of school
textbooks, with detractors slamming the government for
trying to promote its Hindu nationalist agenda through
the changes.

Not just the USA it seems ... brainwashing textbooks
seem to be a popular tactic.

And, not to excuse the Woke in the least, the USA did
its share in the 50s/60s too - but then it was the
anti-Russkie cold-war thing. Only pure stout (preferably
'white') Christians could possibly stand up to the Reds.

I remember one textbook - there was an entire semesters
course built around it and the course was MANDATORY. The
book, "Americanism -vs- Communism". Kinda red-white&bluish
cover scheme. It didn't exactly *lie* - but it was very
selective in what subjects it covered and the POVs it
took on said subjects. In short, disinfo - how to lie
by telling nothing but the truth ......

Propaganda textbooks are a form of censorship - massively
amplifying one POV while deliberately burying all others,
all under the cover of Authority.

But it looks like whomever is in charge of the textbooks
just can't STAND leaving them "neutral" ... their Truths
are THE Truth, of course, they BELIEVE .........

Some might argue that "neutral" is perhaps unknowable
and too much effort for it might be considered a form
of propaganda in and of itself, hiding important issues.
Can't really win here ... but we can TRY.
