It's a problem with TBird 102. There's been a major shift in the coding
(language swith to JavaScript) and lots of folks are seeing weirdness.

If you must use Thunderbird for usenet, you'd be better off dropping
back to back to Thunderbird to 91.13.1 for a while,

Ran across a possible solution for TBird 102.
"As a workaround in 102, you can set mailnews.nntp.jsmodule to true to
use the old nntp implementation."

Aside - none of this makes any sense to me. If it ain't broke - don't
fix it. TBird wasn't broken!

That would be awesome. Sunrise and sunset would be the same for all men. One time zone. Of course, there would still be a problem with those pesky robots taking over the planet.
