From IMDb (stealing from TheDesk.net!?!):

Scripps to pull CW Network affiliation in seven cities in September

https://m.imdb.com/news/ni64545057/

The Scripps stations involved are in Detroit, Miami, Tucson, Norfolk,
Corpus Christi, Santa Barbara(!), and Lafayette LA.

Nextar stations will assume The C-Wub affiliations in Norfolk and Lafayette.

It sounds to me like Detroit will be completely without CW now! Ha ha ha
ha!!

Because Skynet hates you. Your local CW affiliate will continue to
broadcast for as long as you live, even if it is the only CW affiliate left.

I'm surprised that Nexstar doesn't have affiliates in Detroit, Miami and
Tucson, at least. Perhaps they do, but they are currently under contract
to others. They may not in Detroit though - the article made it sound
like Detroit only has two independent stations, and they've both gone
through CW affiliations and dropped them!

Does Detroit have television licenses on the Canadian side? You'd think
there's be additional stations.

I looked it up. None in Detroit, but three in Grand Rapids! The C-Wub is
on a secondary subchanel.

None in Miami, Corpus Christie, nor Santa Barbara. With 200 O&Os with
multiple licenses in many markets, you can't be in every market.

Robin posted an article some time ago with CW claiming that they made the
decision to kick loose these people.
