I got my glad rags on this morning and headed to the used bookstore
about 11 miles away from me. I came home with seven books, four of
which are paperbacks. My grand total came to $8.72 and when I got
home I checked all the original prices for these and I would have paid
$145.84 for my booty if I'd bought them new. These will keep me busy
for a good while as I read when I hit the sack.

This place is huge and have every genre of books you can imagine.
They also stock hundreds of puzzles, games, videos, and camera
equipment. But I think their videos are too overpriced.

After leaving there I headed to Kroger to do my weekly shopping. A
large bunch of green grapes and equally large bunch of red grapes
made it into my shopping cart. Imagine my disappointment after
washing all of these to discover the red grapes are seeded. UGH, I
detest seeds and these may be given away to a friend. It's my fault
for not reading the bag as it clearly states, "seeded grapes."

I suppose you don't have a grape pitter. I don't, either. Could you
possibly return them and swap for seedless?

We actually donate books that we're weeding to the local
used bookstore, even though they're a for profit business.

If they begrudgingly took them back, they'd end up
in the dumpster. She's better giving them to
someone, so they don't get wasted. I know that
some folks here like fruit salads, and when you
halve grapes anyway, they're effortless to deseed.

I would bet that they sell more videos than books. Lucky for you, it
seems that you are looking for the books. I really should get back into
reading more. I don't think I read anything more than Usenet.

Do you not like eating around the seeds? Seeded grapes are rarer than
hen's teeth now. I accidentally got a bag once, but they didn't bother
me any. I honestly thought that they had a better taste than the
seedless grapes (similar to seeded vs. seedless watermelon).

Do you finish "weeding" them first? ;)

Sorry, I read it in the voice of a 2 year old attempting to pronounce
"reading", at first, then I chuckled.

I have bought a lot of books over the years, and Betsy
has bought way more that I have. When we get rid of
books, the alternatives are donating to the local used
bookstore (it is an important part of the community),
or putting the less desirable books into one of the
great number of "Little Free Libraries."

I don't know what the ratio of books to videos sold is. But when _I'm_
there it's mostly books heading out the door.

There's no 'eating around' these seeds. Each grape has four large seeds
and I just can't stand crunching on them. This is one reason I don't eat
pomegranates, too. I got off my butt today and spent almost 45 minutes
cutting each grape in half and deseeding them.

I've given a lot of books to the "Little Free Libraries" that are dotted
around my neighborhood. But now I give my books to a woman that
also has the same financial adviser as me. When she finishes them
they go to one of her friends.

Trew might have a new career. Go for it man! There hasn't been a

Now I'm going to start shilling for "Outshine" frozen fruit bars. They
make a excellent pomegranate, frozen fruit bar, without the seeds. I
like their tangerine bars as well. Grape's probably good too.
I'm assuming that they're back East.

That's odd.
I've had a few pomegranates and yes, all you eat is the gell coated
seeds. The seeds are so tiny, I've never noticed them in a hard inside
way. No crunch.

No need to eat pomegranite seeds, the 'gell' is easily sucked off in
your mouth and spit the seeds... just don't bite into the bitter pulp.

You're an imbecile.

Normal people are able to easily spit grape seeds, even the skins.

I always eat the seeds. They have a mild,

Yes, we have the Outshine frozen fruit bars here. They are good!
I enjoy pomegranate juice, just not the fruit where I've got a mouthful
of seeds. At least with watermelon seeds they're easy to spit out and
you can have a contest with those.

Here's the tangerine version:
"tangerine juice from concentrate (water, tangerine juice
concentrate), water, cane sugar, citric acid, orange pulp, guar gum,
carob bean gum, annatto color, tangerine oil, natural flavor, vitamin
c (ascorbic acid), turmeric oleoresin color."

You'd think you mainly need tangerines to make a tangerine fruit bar.
But noooooo. The industry just has to turn it into crap. Otherwise
it's not sweet enough, not colourful enough and not flavourful enough
for the populace.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis on Friday warned against looting in areas hard-hit by Hurricane Ian, reminding
would-be looters that Florida is a “Second Amendment state.”

“The other thing we’re concerned about, particularly in those areas that were really hard hit, is we want to make
sure we’re maintaining law and order,” DeSantis said at a news conference in St. Augustine on Friday. “You can
have people bringing boats into some of these islands and trying to ransack people’s homes.

“Don’t even think about looting. Don’t even think about taking advantage of people in this vulnerable situation,” he added.

“I can tell you, in the state of Florida, you never know what may be lurking behind somebody’s home. And I
would not want to chance that, if I were you, given that we’re a Second Amendment state.”

Hmm, I don't often get seeded grapes, but the last time, each one had
one large seed in the center, like a pit. Perhaps different types of
grapes?
