I once saw a post on FaceBook that maybe locals would take a hurricane
threat seriously if it were named after a black woman... "Shaniqua" or
something like that.

"Oh man, Shaniqua is taking off her earrings, now she's taking off her
shoes..." It was funny the way it was originally worded, with the
picture of "Shaniqua" chasing someone with a flip flop held high, as a
weapon.

Hopefully all is fine. Bits of it did a number on us Friday but other
than some flooding (not major) it's past here.

This area fared well. I was out a bit and in most places you'd never
know there was a storm. I'm still waiting for cable and internet here.
Power outages still spotty.
